    Description

I am listing this pair of good working very old vintage binoculars that appear to be Military with a hanging neck strap made with old military boot laces.  I was told that the screw post type of lens relief is very unique and should tell the
    possible
    manufacturer
since there are no makers mark or number found on these binoculars.  I believe they were originally leather covered as there was a coating of what appeared a
    possible
    dried
    adhesive
which I cleaned off hoping to find some type of identification but none was found.  Body appears to be made of heavy brass.  I was informed that these were made in the late 1800's and may be by Colmont of France.  I have given you lots of photo's for your consideration in
    possibly
identifying these field glasses.  An antique dealer said he believed these glasses were either WWI or WWII era but will leave it to someone of more knowledge.  Measurements are 3 7/8" in closed height and 4 3/8" in width & 12.9 oz. in weight.
Any information pertaining to these glasses would be most appreciated.
