2006-2007 ZX-10 Ninja OEM size is 525x108 x-ring chain, 17t Ft. Sprocket, 40t Rear Sprocket
For even QUICKER gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), use a 16 tooth front sprocket.
-1t front sprocket is the most versatile way to gear it quick, this way you can switch back to a stock 17t with the same length chain. This quick ratio will be much quicker, but slower top speed with higher freeway cruising rpm's.
For FASTER TOP SPEED, and
LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's
, use a 38t rear sprocket or a 18t Ft.
This -2t rear sprocket is a  change that will be a little faster top speed, but very slightly slower off the line. The +1t front is a VERY noticeable change lowering freeway rpm's significantly, raising top speed, slower off the line.
* A 1 tooth change in the front is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear.. but opposite effects.
EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front = +3 teeth rear) or (+1 tooth front = -3 teeth rear)
EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front
and
+1 tooth rear
combined
is the same as +4 rear only without changing the front)
Stock gearing is the factory calculated "happy medium" of both low end acceleration and top end speed..
